¿What is Ekey®?

ekey® is a physical access control system that scans and stores fingerprints converted into a numerical code in the registry. For the validation of a right access, user receives access permission only if the fingerprint presented gives a positive contrast when compared with the enrolled fingerprint in the scanner.

For many years the Public Administration and large corporations have used biometrics to restrict access to private information or private facilities. The technology has become a much more economical solution and now small businesses and individuals have begun to use it. Fingerprint systems use different technologies to scan the finger, such as optical, capacitive and or thermal. To ekey ® this was not enough for privacy and security requirements, resistance to handling and use environmental. For that reason ekey ® has integrated and developed its solution using a thermal sensor bar.

From the scanned fingerprint “minutiae” or singular points of the fingerprint , are localized, treated and stored or contrasted with an electronic code which identify unequivocally the finger scanned .It don't save images, only one encrypted binary code that it can not be regenerated or used to rebuild the original image of the fingerprint.

Software
